How Crywolf works — defend the fortress

Crywolf is a cooperative PvE event: players defend the fortress and Wolf Statue against Kundun's army led by Balgass. Victory depends on the defenders, elves at the altars and a coordinated fight against the boss.

Location and preparation

  • The fortress is near Valley of Loren. The standard entrance to Crywolf is in Valley of Loren at coordinates 164, 35.
  • Watch the game server's announcements for preparation and invasion alerts. The schedule, duration and level requirements follow the server's settings.

Wolf Statue and five altars

  • Five altars surround the Wolf Statue. Elves form altar contracts to maintain the statue's protection; other participants defend the elves and hold back monsters.
  • An elf must remain near their altar. Death, leaving the position or leaving the map breaks the connection, so guarding the altars takes priority over chasing individual monsters.

The invasion

  • When the attack begins, the fortress safe zone becomes a battlefield. Personal stores and normal NPC interactions are unavailable during the event.
  • Repel monster waves and protect the altars until Balgass appears. Split your forces between defence and attacking the boss; defeated characters respawn at a designated point on the map.

Victory and defeat

  • Keep the statue's protection active and defeat Balgass to defend the fortress successfully. Losing all altar connections leaves the fortress unprotected and ends the defence in failure.
  • Do not leave the boss alive when the allotted time ends. Prioritise active altars, the elves' survival and defeating Balgass.

Rewards and outcome

  • Participants earn points for their contribution and additional experience. Personal rewards depend on the result and server settings; stay on the map until the results are announced.
  • The defence outcome changes the fortress state and related server effects. This card shows Crywolf's current status.

How Castle Siege works — the battle for the castle

Castle Siege is a battle between guilds and alliances for Loren Castle in Valley of Loren. Break into the throne room, claim the crown and hold the castle until the siege ends: preparation, teamwork and coordination decide the outcome.

Siege cycle and schedule

  • The cycle includes guild registration, Sign of Lord submission, announcement of attackers, preparation and the siege itself.
  • See the Castle Siege card for the selected world above for dates and the current stage. The game server sets the schedule; all times use the server time zone.
  • Before the battle, assemble your team, assign roles and prepare equipment, consumables and voice communication.

Registration and alliances

  • The Guild Master registers the guild through the siege registration NPC in Valley of Loren. Submit Sign of Lord during the designated period.
  • Attacker selection considers submitted signs, guild membership and the master's level. The registered guilds' submitted signs are shown in the table below.
  • Guilds in a siege alliance fight on the same side. The attacking alliance leader captures the crown; an ordinary participant cannot declare themselves the owner.

Assault: gates, statues and crown

  • Destroy the gates and advance through the castle courtyards. All active Guardian Statues must be destroyed before crown capture becomes available.
  • Two players on your attacking side must occupy both Crown Switches simultaneously. The alliance leader can then begin activating the Crown in the throne room.
  • In the current build, capture requires 60 seconds of accumulated activation time. The leader must stay in place and both switches must remain controlled by their side. Moving the leader or losing a switch interrupts the current attempt.

A capture is only the beginning

  • After a successful activation, the attacking side becomes the castle defender and the former defenders become attackers.
  • The siege continues until the timer ends. The side holding the castle when the event finishes wins, so protect the crown until the last seconds.

Tactics for your guild

  • Attackers: coordinate your gate breakthrough and statue destruction. Assign a protected switch team and an escort for the leader, with replacements for fallen players.
  • Defenders: control narrow passages, switch approaches and the throne. Keep watch over the crown and report enemy breakthroughs promptly.
  • Everyone: assign roles in advance, refresh available buffs and follow team calls. Preparation and communication matter as much as strong equipment.

Benefits of ownership

  • Castle management through Senatus: the treasury, in-game taxes and maintenance of defensive structures.
  • Access to Land of Trials for the owners and their alliance. Entry for other players depends on the castle's access settings; the map is not unconditionally closed to everyone else.
  • Lord Mix (Senior Mix) for the owning guild's master, subject to the game server's recipes and limits. Ownership also marks your side's siege victory.

Frequently asked questions

  • How should I prepare? Join a participating guild, ask its master about requirements and equip for your role. You can also help with preparations and Sign of Lord collection.
  • Which consumables should I bring? Stock up on potions and other items allowed in the current build. Check their availability before the siege and coordinate your supplies with the team.
  • What if no capture succeeds? If the castle already has an owner and nobody replaces them during the siege, the castle remains with the previous side.

Schedule

  • Every Saturday at 19:30 server time, with a warning 5 minutes before the start.

Registration

  • The Guild Master registers at the Dungeon Siege Master NPC in Lorencia, 145, 147. Registration is available until the event begins.
  • A guild needs at least 10 members. Up to 10 guilds can register; the current owner cannot register for the next siege.
  • With only one registered guild, it wins without a battle and its Guild Master receives the reward. With no registrations, the event does not start.

Entering the event

  • Registered guilds have 3 minutes after the start announcement to enter through the NPC. All their members may participate, but only one character per computer is allowed.
  • Demonic Weapon is prohibited. After dying in stage one, return from Lorencia through the NPC while that stage is still running.

Stage one · guild battle

  • 15 minutes. Each counted enemy kill gives 1 point to the character and their guild. The top two guilds advance; each is represented by its player with the most kills.
  • Tied guilds are ranked by earlier registration. Tied players from the same guild are ranked by earlier entry into the event.

Final · decisive duel

  • Preparation lasts 2 minutes. Potion Girl Amy appears temporarily in the final zone, followed by a countdown before battle.
  • The final lasts up to 10 minutes. After each kill, both opponents recover and get 10 seconds to prepare. The first to 10 kills wins immediately; otherwise the higher score wins when time expires.
  • A tie triggers 60 seconds of Sudden Death: the first kill wins. If nobody wins, the dungeon has no owner. Finalists cannot leave the arena or teleport until the duel ends.

Important rules

  • Kills of guildmates and characters on the same computer do not count.
  • Normal PK penalties do not apply to fighting opponents. The clan buff is disabled on the event map; participants with Demonic Weapon are removed.

Reward

  • The final winner receives Jewel Of Ancient, and their guild owns Dungeon until the next winner is determined.
  • The reward remains reserved for the winner. If the inventory is full, free a slot: delivery is retried after another check or reconnection.
